Definition of Term
- GAME DESIGN DOCUMENT (GDD): A highly-detailed document that describes the type of game, user interface, perspective, mechanics, total playtime, story, characters, and initial artwork (thumbnails).
- FLOW CHART: A visual layout of options available to a player that maps actions and consequences. (Ex: Player Chooses Mage > Controlled Character uses Mage model and Mage Abilities enabled.)
- GAME ASSETS: Everything you see and hear in a game. (3D Models, Sprites, Sound Effects, Music, Text, Etc.) Game assets can also be plug-ins and 3rd party code.
